Pasture Raised Pork |
SOLD OUT FOR 2020 |
Ethics- I believe the animals we eat should have the best lives possible while we raise them. Unlike some of the "factory farms" you may have seen on TV or a documentary, my pigs are raised outdoors and are rotated throughout the woods and fields to provided them with ample forage to eat and dirt to dig. It never ceases to amaze me how clean, calm and happy pigs can be when you let them live in the environment they originally came from!
Taste- Not only is pasture raising pigs the most ethical choice (in my humble opinion) the taste is UNBEATABLE! Maybe its the stress-free environment or perhaps the acorns they eat in the Fall; whatever the case, this will be the best pork you have ever tasted!
I raise and sell hogs by the half and whole. These often sell out fast, so stay tuned to my social media to see when the next batch will be available. Hogs are processed by a third-party USDA certified facility in Akron.

KUNE KUNE pigs- Please note, besides my meat hogs, I also own a small herd of adorably hairy pigs. You may see these funny looking pigs in my front field from time to time. These are NOT the pigs raised for meat. They are a semi-rare breed called KuneKune pigs that was almost extinct in the 1980's. I bought these not really having a plan for them, but they are awesome, so I keep them. So, if you are ever visiting the farm (or just browsing my Instagram) and see them, do not fear, they are not being eaten.
